So, a Gymdog called Christi Fortunato, did not compete in her freshman or sophomore year.
She won the Sam Sheehan Spirit award in 2008.

A source in North Carolina tells me that her Grades were insufficient to compete in her 2 years as a Gymdog.
Now, I wonder if they kicked her off the team?
Or if she's taking a break to work up her grades again?

Could be - if she was too injured to compete and was having academic issues, she might be off the team, though I haven't heard anything about it. Maybe she red-shirted one year? Who knows.
